Description

The Patek Philippe 3970EP-021 is an exceptional example of haute horlogerie, showcasing one of the brand’s most revered grand complications: the perpetual calendar chronograph. Crafted in 950 platinum, this 36 mm masterpiece features a striking black dial adorned with hand-set diamond hour markers, day and month apertures at 12 o’clock, and a moonphase display integrated with the date at 6 o’clock. The subdials for chronograph minutes and running seconds preserve perfect symmetry, while feuille hands and applied diamond markers highlight its refined character.

Inside lies the legendary Caliber CH 27-70 Q, a hand-wound movement based on the Lemania 2310 ébauche, extensively modified and finished by Patek Philippe. It powers a perpetual calendar, leap year indication, 24-hour indicator, and column-wheel chronograph, with a power reserve of approximately 60 hours.

The watch is fitted with a hand-stitched black alligator leather strap, secured by a platinum folding clasp bearing the Patek Philippe Calatrava cross. The sapphire crystal caseback (with interchangeable solid platinum back) allows a view of the beautifully hand-finished movement — Geneva stripes, polished levers, and anglage.
