The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Deepsea Ref. 136660, introduced in 2022, represents the most refined version of Rolex’s flagship saturation diving watch. Crafted in Oystersteel, the 44 mm case integrates the brand’s patented Ringlock System, allowing the watch to withstand extreme pressures down to 3,900 meters (12,800 feet). The caseback, made of grade 5 titanium, works in conjunction with a high-domed sapphire crystal and nitrogen-alloyed steel ring to ensure exceptional structural integrity.
This reference retains the bold design of its predecessor (Ref. 126660) but introduces more balanced dial text, slimmer lugs, and improved bracelet proportions, offering a better fit on the wrist. Powered by the Caliber 3235, Rolex’s latest-generation automatic movement, the 136660 delivers a 70-hour power reserve, enhanced precision, and superior shock and magnetic resistance thanks to the Chronergy escapement. The Cerachrom bezel insert in black ceramic with platinum-filled numerals frames the “D-Blue” gradient dial (blue fading to black) that pays tribute to James Cameron’s 2012 deep-sea expedition. Completing the watch is a robust Oyster bracelet with both Glidelock and Fliplock extension systems, ensuring perfect adjustability even over a diving suit.
