The Rolex Air-King 14000 is a refined expression of Rolex’s philosophy of simplicity, durability, and timeless style. Introduced in the late 1980s as the successor to the reference 5500, the 14000 modernized the Air-King line while preserving its reputation as one of Rolex’s most accessible and understated timepieces.

Housed in a 34 mm Oystersteel case, the watch offers the robust qualities of Rolex sports models but in a more compact and versatile size. The smooth polished bezel and classic Oyster case design emphasize elegance, making it equally suited for casual or formal wear. A variety of dial options were available, including silver, blue, black, and white, all designed with clarity and balance in mind.

Powering the Air-King 14000 is the Rolex calibre 3000, an automatic chronometer-certified movement that provides precise timekeeping and reliable performance. This movement was later upgraded in the 14000M with the calibre 3130, but the 3000 remains a highly respected workhorse in the Rolex lineup.

The watch is fitted with the classic Oyster bracelet, known for its comfort and durability, and secured by an Oysterclasp. With a sapphire crystal (an upgrade from the acrylic used in the 5500) and a water resistance of 100 meters, the 14000 is engineered for everyday wear with confidence.

Produced until the early 2000s, the Air-King 14000 stands today as a charming and collectible vintage-modern Rolex. Its combination of compact proportions, timeless design, and Rolex reliability makes it a perfect choice for both seasoned collectors and newcomers to the brand.
