The Rolex Explorer II 16570 is a classic and enduring model within Rolex’s professional watch collection, designed specifically for explorers, adventurers, and those requiring a rugged, dependable timepiece. Under the hood, the Explorer II 16570 houses either the Caliber 3185 (early production) or the Caliber 3186 (later production). Both movements are automatic, COSC-certified chronometers known for their robustness, precision, and the added functionality of a quickset date and independently adjustable 24-hour hand. The 3186 introduced an improved Parachrom hairspring, increasing resistance to shocks and magnetic fields.
